1. What these terms cover

Crewla is a platform for booking identity-verified independent workers by the hour, in the city where the work happens, for fairs, airport meet and greet, events, delegations and travel. These terms apply to everyone who uses Crewla's website and mobile app: individuals and businesses who book a service (Customer), people who provide a service (Worker), and agencies acting in either role (Agency).

To use Crewla you need to accept these terms and the other required documents of the market where the work takes place. The version you accept is recorded and remains readable at any time.

2. Who we are

Crewla is a brand of Nivorbit Teknoloji Limited Şirketi.

  • Legal name: Nivorbit Teknoloji Limited Şirketi
  • Address: Sarıcaeli Köyü, Sarıcaeli Küme Evleri No: 29 İç Kapı No: 109, Merkez / Çanakkale, 17100, Türkiye
  • Trade registry: Çanakkale Trade Registry Office, registration no. 9575
  • MERSİS no.: 0631151313600001
  • Tax office and number: Çanakkale Tax Office, 6311513136
  • Email: [PLACEHOLDER: support email address]
  • Registered electronic mail (KEP): [PLACEHOLDER: KEP address]

For work outside Türkiye, the company that sells the service will be [PLACEHOLDER: EU company, its legal name, registration number and address to be added once incorporated]. Section 4 explains which company sells a given job; in these terms both are called "Crewla".

3. Definitions

  • Platform: Crewla's website, mobile app and the services connected to them.
  • Market: The country or city where the work is done. The currency, the minimum hourly rate, the cancellation tiers, the commission, the service fee, VAT, the company that issues the invoice and the required legal documents are set per market.
  • Posting: A notice a Customer opens for a job, which Workers apply to.
  • Booking: A paid record of a specific Worker serving a Customer at a specific time and place.
  • Stand-in search: The search for a suitable person to replace a Worker who cannot come or cancels.
  • Standby: A person a Customer adds to a booking for a fee, ready to take over the job if needed.
  • Supplier agency: A verified business account that assigns people from its own roster to jobs through Crewla.
  • Customer agency: A business such as an event company, DMC or travel agency that books through Crewla with a team account and projects.

4. Crewla's role: Crewla sells the service

Crewla is not a notice board. The Customer buys the service from Crewla; Crewla buys the same service from the independent Worker (or from a supplier agency).

  • Crewla issues the invoice. The Customer receives an invoice in Crewla's name for the full price of the service, VAT included. The Worker does not need a company or to issue invoices.
  • The selling company depends on where the work is. If the service is in Türkiye and the Worker is in Türkiye, the seller is Nivorbit Teknoloji Ltd. Şti. For other jobs the seller will be [PLACEHOLDER: EU company]. The Customer's own country does not change this.
  • Paying the Worker. When the job is complete, Crewla pays the Worker their earnings (the Worker's price minus Crewla's commission). The details are in the Worker Service Agreement and the Self-Billing Agreement.

5. Workers are independent

Workers on Crewla are not Crewla's employees; they are independent service providers. The platform works by these rules to keep it that way:

  • The Worker sets the price. Any price suggestion the platform shows is advice only. The price cannot be below the market's minimum hourly rate.
  • The Worker may decline any request. Declining or not answering leads to no penalty, no lower visibility and no account restriction.
  • The Worker chooses their working hours and area.
  • There is no exclusivity. The Worker is free to work on other platforms and with their own clients.
  • The Customer, not Crewla, decides how the work is done. Dress, equipment and the job description are set out in the Customer's posting or request.
  • Tax and social security. The Worker is responsible for their own income tax and social security. Crewla only issues the documents and makes the deductions the law requires of it (for example, the expense voucher and withholding tax in Türkiye).

Jobs that are accepted and then not done (no-show, late cancellation) affect reliability indicators. These rules are transparent and shown to the Worker.

6. Account and sign-in

  • Sign up with a phone. An account is opened with a phone number, verified once by SMS code at sign-up. Later sign-ins use a passkey (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint), Google or Apple; the SMS code is the fallback. There is no email and password sign-in.
  • Accurate information. Your information must be accurate and up to date. You may not let others use or transfer your account. You are responsible for what is done with it.
  • Country of residence. Your account has a country of residence; identity verification, tax details, payout account and the buyer details on invoices follow that country's rules.
  • The market is where the work is. Wherever you are from, you can post jobs or book in any open market. When you first transact in a market, you are asked to accept that market's required documents.
  • Identity verification. Workers, and Customers for certain actions, may be asked to verify their identity. ID and selfie images stay with the verification provider; Crewla keeps only the result and a reference.
  • Business accounts. Businesses register and are verified with their tax number and company details.

7. Bookings and payment

  1. The Customer sends a request directly to a Worker, or opens a posting and selects among the applicants.
  2. Payment is taken when the request is made, on the payment provider's secure hosted page. Card details never enter Crewla's systems.
  3. The price is made up of the Worker's price, Crewla's service fee and VAT, and is shown before payment.
  4. If the Worker accepts, the booking is confirmed. If the Worker declines, the request expires, the Worker cancels or does not show up, the full amount paid for that Worker is refunded to the Customer.
  5. Nothing more is charged after the job is complete.

Refunds go back to the card used, within the payment provider's timelines.

8. Cancellation by the Customer

Cancellation terms are set per market and are tiered by how long before the start you cancel: the earlier you cancel, the more is refunded; if you cancel very close to the start there may be no refund.

The exact tiers that apply to your booking are shown on the booking screen before you pay and in the booking summary. The terms shown for that booking at that time apply; later changes to the market's terms do not affect your existing booking.

The part not refunded on cancellation is what remains due to the Worker and to Crewla for the cancelled job.

If a Worker cancels, does not confirm or does not show up, Crewla automatically looks for a suitable replacement. This search is an effort, not a promise:

"Crewla will make reasonable efforts to find a suitable person to replace a worker who cannot come or cancels; this is an obligation of means, not of result. If nobody suitable is found, the Customer's sole remedy is a refund of the fee paid for that worker; a standby likewise does not ensure that anyone comes, and its fee is refunded in full if nobody accepts. Indirect losses are excluded."

You can follow the search in the app while it runs. The "verified people available nearby at this time" figure shown before booking is information, not a promise.

For a booking made through a supplier agency, the agency is asked first: it can assign a suitable person from its roster within a short time; if it does not, the usual search starts.

10. Standby

A Customer may add a paid standby to a confirmed booking while there is enough time before the start. The service is available where the market offers it.

  • Price: the market's hourly standby rate × the length of the job, plus service fee and VAT like a normal booking. Payment is taken straight away.
  • If nobody accepts: if no one accepts by the set time before the start, the full amount is refunded. If you withdraw while the search is running, the full amount is also refunded.
  • If a stand-in is needed: if the Worker of your job at the same place and time does not come or cancels, the offer goes to the standby first. If they accept, the standby fee is refunded to you and they take over the job at the original job's price.
  • If no stand-in is needed: the standby service is completed and invoiced like any other job.
  • Not a guarantee: the standby may not come either; in that case the usual stand-in search continues and section 9 applies.

11. The working day, confirmation and disputes

  • When the Worker checks in and out, their position is used once to measure the distance to the place; only the distance and whether it was close enough are kept.
  • When the job ends, the Customer confirms it or reports a problem. If check-in and check-out were verified by location and there is no objection within the set time, the job is confirmed automatically.
  • If there was no check-in and no location evidence, the Customer is refunded and the Worker is not paid.
  • In every other dispute a person decides after reviewing both sides' accounts and the evidence. The Worker's earnings for the job are held while the dispute is open.

12. Communication and payment only through Crewla

The protections (secure payment, refunds, stand-in search, dispute resolution and the invoice) only apply to work that goes through Crewla. So:

  • During a booking and the job, communication happens through Crewla's messages and calls. Phone numbers are not shown to the other side.
  • Contact details such as phone numbers, email addresses, IBANs and social media handles are automatically hidden in messages, and the reason is explained. Repeated attempts are reviewed by a person.
  • A booking made through Crewla is paid only to Crewla. A payment made directly to the Worker does not settle the Customer's debt to Crewla.
  • Work arranged outside the platform has no refunds, no stand-in search, no dispute resolution and no Crewla invoice.

13. Direct-hire fee and off-platform offers

Crewla does not forbid a Customer from working with a Worker outside Crewla; it puts that under clear, proportionate rules known in advance. This section sets out the legitimate route, and its fee, for a Customer who wants to work outside the platform with a Worker they met on Crewla.

When it applies

  • Meeting: a Customer and a Worker "met on Crewla" if they came together through at least one booking on Crewla (a direct request or a posting).
  • Period: this section applies for 12 months from the end of the last job done with that Worker through Crewla. A new job on Crewla starts the 12 months again from its end.
  • Subject: the Customer having that Worker do, outside Crewla, the kind of service they booked on Crewla (e.g. stand staff, meet and greet, driving), or employing them.
  • Not covered: people the Customer knew before Crewla and can show it; a Worker hired independently of the Customer's bookings, by applying to a public job advertisement [PLACEHOLDER: the lawyer will set the limits of the exceptions].

Business customers

A Customer who uses Crewla with a business account or for trade or professional purposes (a business customer) reports it in the app before starting to work with a Worker outside Crewla within the period above ("I want to hire them directly") and pays a direct-hire fee.

  • The fee goes down with the hours worked together. The more hours the Customer and the Worker have worked together on Crewla, the lower the fee, and it reaches zero at a number of hours set by the market. After 12 months from the last job there is no fee.
  • The amount is shown in advance. The full amount, its reduction steps and the hours at which it reaches zero are set per market. The amount that applies to that Worker, and the hours at which it reaches zero, are shown on the Worker's page ("Your work together") and before the report is sent; the amount shown at that moment applies.
  • Invoice. Crewla invoices the fee. After the report, Crewla makes no further fee or claim for that pair.
  • Working outside without reporting. A business customer who works with the Worker outside Crewla without reporting it pays the direct-hire fee it would have paid had it reported. No penalty or other amount is charged on top.

Consumer customers

An individual Customer who uses Crewla for personal needs (a consumer) is not charged a direct-hire fee. A consumer may work with a Worker they met on Crewla outside Crewla whenever they wish; declaring "I want to hire them directly" in the app is appreciated but not required, and free.

The legitimate route: "I want to hire them directly"

If you want to work with a Worker outside Crewla, for example as an employee or regularly between yourselves, you do not need to leave quietly:

  1. On the Worker's page, press "I want to hire them directly". The hours and jobs you have done together and (for a business customer) the fee are shown.
  2. Send the report. The Worker is told; whether to work with you is the Worker's decision, and Crewla imposes nothing.
  3. For a business customer, once the fee is invoiced and paid, your obligations under this section for that Worker end. Consumers pay no fee.

You can keep booking that Worker through Crewla after the report.

Off-platform payment is outside the protections

Work arranged and paid outside Crewla has none of the protections listed in section 12: payment protection, refunds, stand-in search, dispute resolution and a Crewla invoice; nor can that work be rated on Crewla. A payment made directly to the Worker for a booking made through Crewla does not settle the Customer's debt to Crewla.

For Workers

For 12 months from the last job with a Customer they met on Crewla, a Worker does not offer that Customer the same service outside Crewla. There is no exclusivity, no general non-compete and no penalty clause; the Worker is free to work on other platforms, with their own clients and with anyone. A Worker who reports an off-platform offer from a Customer in the app faces no sanction. The details are in section 11 of the Worker Service Agreement.

What happens on a breach

  • A person always decides. The system only opens a case for review (for example a frequent pair that suddenly stops, contact details hidden again and again in messages, or a report). A case alone has no consequence: it does not restrict or suspend your account or lower your ranking.
  • Stepped. If the reviewer decides there was a breach, the measure is chosen step by step according to its weight and repetition: first information and a warning, then restriction of certain features if it happens again, and suspension for a serious or continuing breach. For a business customer the fee above may also be invoiced.
  • Reasons and appeal. Every decision is sent to you with its reasons. You can appeal; someone other than the person who made the first decision reviews it (section 18).

14. Ratings and reviews

  • Only completed bookings can be rated.
  • Ratings are two-way and blind: the Customer rates the Worker and the Worker rates the Customer. Ratings are published together when both have submitted or after 14 days, so no one can rate in retaliation.
  • The overall rating is calculated from at most the last 100 rated jobs in the last 12 months. A Bayesian average is used so that someone with few jobs does not look extremely high or low because of a single rating.
  • Separately from ratings, reliability indicators such as completion rate, no-shows, late cancellations, response time and on-time check-in are calculated automatically. They affect ranking and badges; they do not by themselves lead to an account restriction.
  • Ratings and reviews must be honest and about the job. Fake reviews, reviews obtained in exchange for something or under threat, and reviews containing insults or personal data may be removed.

15. Agencies

Supplier agency

  • A verified business can become a supplier agency by connecting its roster to Crewla. Each person on the roster verifies their own profile and identity; ratings are kept per person.
  • For agency bookings, earnings are paid to the agency, and the agency invoices Crewla. Crewla does not pay the person on the roster.
  • Paying the people on its roster, classifying them as employees or contractors, and every obligation of that relationship are the agency's responsibility. The independent-worker rules in section 5 apply to the agency.
  • If the person on an agency booking does not come, the agency's roster is asked first for a stand-in (section 9).
  • The agency account accepts the market's legal documents; the agency is the party to the contract.

Customer agency and team accounts

  • A verified business can have a team account. The account that registered the business is always an owner; owners invite team members, change their roles and remove them. Managers post jobs, book and pay on the business's behalf.
  • Actions team members take for the business bind the business; who took each action is recorded.
  • Invite links are single-use and time-limited; send a link only to the person you want to invite.
  • Postings and bookings can be linked to client or event projects; when a job is complete, the project name is printed on the invoice as a note.

16. Workers' obligations (summary)

Workers are also bound by the Worker Service Agreement and, for documents issued on their behalf, the Self-Billing Agreement. In short, a Worker:

  • Arrives on time for jobs they accept, and cancels as early as possible if they cannot come.
  • Does the work as the Customer described it in the posting or request, with care and within the law.
  • Gives accurate information in their profile, documents and tax details.
  • Makes sure their payout account is their own and kept up to date.

Licensed occupations. In some markets and categories the work requires a licence (for example, a tourist guide licence and work card in Türkiye). In these categories the profile is not published and no applications can be made until a person approves the document the Worker uploaded.

17. Prohibited use

You may not use Crewla for:

  • Illegal or immoral work, disguising undeclared employment or facilitating human trafficking.
  • Discrimination based on sex, age, origin, religion, disability, appearance or similar traits; a requirement that genuinely matters for the job is written in the posting with its reason.
  • Harassment, threats, insults or unsafe working conditions.
  • Fake accounts, accounts in someone else's name, fake ratings or reviews.
  • Attempts to move payment or communication off the platform (section 12).
  • Scraping the platform's data with automated tools, bypassing its security or disrupting it.

18. Account restrictions and appeals

Ratings and reliability indicators automatically affect ranking and badges. However, decisions to restrict, suspend or close an account are never made by an automated system. The system only opens a review case; a person makes the decision. You are told the decision with its reasons and you can appeal. Your appeal is reviewed by someone who did not make the first decision.

In urgent cases, such as suspected illegality, a security threat or fraud, a person may take a temporary measure; you are still told the reasons and can appeal.

You can delete your account in the app at any time. If there are unpaid earnings, an ongoing booking, or a business with other people on its team, deletion waits until these are settled. Legal retention periods are set out in the Privacy Policy.

19. Liability

  • Crewla is responsible for carrying out its own obligations (selling, payment, refunds, invoicing, the stand-in search effort and running the platform) with due care.
  • If a Worker does not come or cannot do the job, the Customer's remedies are the refunds in sections 7 to 10. Indirect losses (for example, disruption to an event, loss of profit) are excluded.
  • Users are responsible to each other for their own actions.
  • The platform may be interrupted for maintenance, faults or events beyond Crewla's control; Crewla tries to keep interruptions as short as possible.

20. Personal data

How your personal data is processed is explained in the Privacy Notice (KVKK) and the Privacy Policy. The permissions you give for marketing messages and analytics are optional: Marketing Communications Consent, Analytics Consent.

21. Changes to these terms

  • When these terms change, a new version is published; an old version is never edited. Each version's number and effective date are shown at the top of the page.
  • We tell you in the app before significant changes. When a new version takes effect, you are asked to accept it to keep using Crewla.
  • Earlier versions you accepted remain readable. Existing bookings continue under the terms in force when they were made.

22. Governing law and disputes
