Worker Service Agreement

Version 1.0In force from October 12, 2026

Draft: pending legal review

This text has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet. It may change after review; if it does, it is published as a new version and you are asked to accept it again.

1. What this agreement covers

This agreement sets out the relationship between Crewla and the independent workers who offer their services on it (hosts and hostesses, meet-and-greet staff, waiters, drivers, guides and similar work). The Terms of Use apply to every user; this agreement applies on top of them whenever you take work as a worker. If the two conflict on a matter concerning workers, this agreement prevails.

Crewla is a brand of Nivorbit Teknoloji Limited Şirketi. Who you contract with depends on the market where the work is done:

  • Work in Turkey by a worker in Turkey: Nivorbit Teknoloji Limited Şirketi (MERSİS 0631151313600001, Çanakkale Trade Registry no. 9575, Çanakkale Tax Office 6311513136; Sarıcaeli Köyü, Sarıcaeli Küme Evleri No: 29 İç Kapı No: 109, Merkez / Çanakkale 17100, Türkiye).
  • All other work: [PLACEHOLDER: the EU company's name, registry number and address — added once it is incorporated].

Both are called "Crewla" in this text.

2. The model: you sell the service to Crewla, Crewla sells it to the customer

Crewla works as the "Merchant of Record":

  1. The customer buys the service from Crewla, and Crewla invoices the full price.
  2. Crewla buys that same service from you, as an independent worker.
  3. Once the work is complete, Crewla pays you your earnings: your rate minus the market's commission.

This way the customer receives a proper invoice even though you have no company, and your income comes with the right paperwork. The documents for your earnings are issued on your behalf under the Self-Billing Agreement.

3. You are independent, not Crewla's employee

There is no employment contract, employer–employee relationship, partnership or agency between you and Crewla. The product is built to reflect that:

  • You set your rate. Your hourly rate may not be below the minimum hourly rate of the market where the work is done; that floor is a market setting and is shown on your profile. Any rate Crewla suggests is only a suggestion.
  • You may decline any request. Declining or not answering brings no penalty, no rating loss and no drop in visibility. Ranking does not depend on how often you accept.
  • You choose when and where you work. You set your own availability and service areas.
  • No exclusivity. You remain free to work on other platforms, with your own clients and with anyone else. There is no general non-compete.
  • The customer, not Crewla, says how the work is done. Dress, equipment, meeting point and task details are in the customer's posting or request, and you read them before you accept.
  • Your taxes and social security are yours. Your income tax return, insurance contributions and any permits your profession needs are your responsibility. Crewla only issues the documents and makes the deductions the law places on Crewla (see the Self-Billing Agreement).

4. Profile, identity and documents

  • Your phone number is verified once by SMS code when you sign up. The details on your profile (name, photo, services, languages, clothing and equipment) must be accurate and current.
  • Where the market requires it, your identity is verified with a verification provider. The ID images stay with the provider; Crewla keeps only the result and a reference.
  • Licensed work: some categories need a licence in a given market (for example tour guiding in Turkey, which requires a licence and work card under Law No. 6326 on Tour Guiding). In those categories a Crewla staff member reviews the document you upload; until it is approved you cannot publish or apply in that category. Tell us if the licence expires or is revoked.
  • Your sizes (clothing, shoe size) are passed to the customer only to prepare a uniform, once a booking is confirmed, and are never used as a search filter.

5. Requests, applications and bookings

You get work in two ways: by accepting a request a customer sends you directly, or by applying to a posting and being picked. The booking is confirmed the moment you accept or are picked, and from then on you are committed: you provide the service at that time and place, on the terms of the posting.

Before you accept, the screen shows the date and time, the place, the customer's requirements, your rate, the market's commission rate and what you will receive.

6. Rate, commission and earnings

  • Earnings = your rate − commission. The commission rate is set per market and shown before you accept. The customer also pays a service fee and taxes; these do not reduce your earnings.
  • The customer pays when making the request; Crewla holds the money until the work is done.
  • When you are paid: once the work is complete and the money is final for you (the customer confirms, verified check-in and check-out confirm it automatically, or a dispute is decided), your earning is created. It waits two days and is then sent to your bank in the daily payout run.
  • What payouts need: identity verification where the market requires it, your tax profile, and a verified bank account (IBAN) that has not been changed in the last 72 hours, held in your own name. If anything is missing your earning waits and you are told.
  • Returned transfers: if a bank transfer comes back (name mismatch, closed account) you are told, and it is sent again once you fix the account.
  • Customer cancellations: if a customer cancels late, your share of the amount kept under the market's cancellation rules is paid to you. The cancellation rules are shown on the booking screen.
  • For each payout you get a statement of the price, commission, deductions and net amount.
  • You cannot delete your account while earnings are unpaid; your payout is completed first.

7. Reliability: doing the work you accept

Declining is free; accepting and then not doing the work leaves a customer stranded. Therefore:

  • No-shows and late cancellations (within the period set by the market) are recorded on your reliability record, which automatically affects ranking and badges.
  • The rules are transparent: your reliability screen shows your own records and why they were made. You can challenge a record with a documented excuse (illness, an accident and the like).
  • Confirmation window: before the work (for example between 36 and 16 hours ahead, moved to the morning if it would fall at night) you are asked to confirm you will come. Not confirming has no sanction: your account is not restricted, no reliability record is written and you are not removed from the booking. The customer is informed, though, and preparation for a possible stand-in begins.
  • If you realise you cannot make it, cancel in the app at once. Cancelling early is always better than cancelling late or not turning up; it gives the customer a better chance of a replacement.

8. On site: check-in, check-out and location

  • You check in from the app at most one hour before the start, and check out when the work is done.
  • At check-in and check-out your phone's location is used once to measure how far you are from the meeting point. Only that distance, and whether it was within the set radius, is kept; there is no continuous tracking.
  • A check-in from further away still counts but is marked "unverified". It is evidence in a dispute.

9. Stand-in search, the stand-in pool and paid standby

  • Stand-in search: when a worker cannot come, Crewla looks for a suitable replacement. If the offer reaches you, you do not have to accept; the first to accept gets the work.
  • Emergency premium: if you accept and complete a stand-in job, a premium at the rate set by the market is added to your earnings. Crewla pays it; the customer's price does not change.
  • Reliability plus: work completed as a stand-in counts in your favour in ranking and shows on your reliability screen.
  • "Ready to stand in" pool: you can join the pool for chosen time slots. People in the pool are asked first for stand-in and standby offers. Joining is not an obligation; you may still decline offers.
  • Standby work: if a customer adds a paid "standby" and you accept, you stay on site or ready for the standby period and receive the standby fee after commission. If the original worker does not come, you take over and work the remaining hours at the original job's rate.

10. Ratings

Ratings are two-way and blind: you rate the customer and the customer rates you. Both are published together once both are in or after 14 days. Only completed work can be rated. Your score comes from your work in the last 12 months; new workers with few jobs do not look extreme because of a single rating. Fake, traded or retaliatory ratings are forbidden.

11. Communication and payment only through Crewla

  • All messages and calls with the customer go through the app. Phone numbers are not shown; calls, where needed, are masked.
  • Sharing a phone number, email address, IBAN or social media handle in messages is not allowed. Such content is hidden automatically and you are told why. If it keeps happening, a staff member reviews it.
  • You may not take payment directly from a customer for work that came through Crewla. Work done off the platform has no payment protection, stand-in search, dispute resolution or documents.
  • If a customer offers you work off the platform you can report it in the app; reporting never leads to any sanction against you.

No off-platform offers to customers you met on Crewla

  • Narrow scope: only towards a customer you met through at least one booking on Crewla (a direct request or a posting), and for 12 months from the end of your last job with that customer on Crewla, you do not offer them, outside Crewla, the kind of service you provided on Crewla, and you do not share contact details for that purpose. A new job together on Crewla starts the 12 months again from its end.
  • Everything you remain free to do: there is no exclusivity and no general non-compete. You can keep working on other platforms, with clients you found yourself, with people you knew before Crewla and with anyone. Applying to an employer's public job advertisement is also free.
  • No financial penalty: no penalty, damages or fee is asked of you under this clause (there is no penalty clause).
  • If a customer wants to work with you directly: if the customer declares "I want to hire them directly" in the app, you are told; working with that customer outside Crewla is then free and the decision is yours. Any direct-hire fee is paid by the customer, never by you.

Reporting an outside offer

If a customer you met on Crewla offers you work or payment outside the platform, report it with "I got an off-platform offer" on the booking's page. A report:

  • never leads to any sanction, rating loss or lower visibility for you; not accepting the offer is enough;
  • opens a case for a Crewla staff member to review; the customer is not told who reported it;
  • does not by itself lead to any sanction against the customer either; every decision is a person's, as below.

What happens on a breach

  • A person always decides. The system only opens a case for review (for example contact details hidden again and again in messages, or a report); a case does not restrict or suspend your account or lower your ranking.
  • Stepped. If the reviewer decides there was a breach, the measure is chosen according to its weight and repetition: first information and a warning, then restriction of certain features if it happens again, and suspension for a serious or continuing breach. No financial penalty is applied.
  • Reasons and appeal. Every decision is sent to you with its reasons; you can appeal, and someone other than the person who decided reviews it (section 15).

12. Working through an agency

You can also take work by joining a supplier agency's roster:

  • For work through an agency, payment goes to the agency. Your relationship with the agency (your pay, contract and insurance) is the agency's responsibility; Crewla does not pay you for that work and issues no expense voucher or invoice on your behalf. The agency invoices Crewla itself.
  • Identity verification and the conduct rules (check-in and out, communication, ratings) apply to agency work too.
  • You can work independently at the same time; each booking shows which it is. Either you or the agency may end the link; work already taken then remains the agency's responsibility.

13. Conduct

  • Arrive on time for work you accepted, with the dress and equipment in the posting.
  • Treat customers, colleagues and visitors with respect; harassment and discrimination are forbidden.
  • Do not accept illegal or dangerous work, or work you are not licensed for. If your safety is at risk on site you may stop and report it to us.
  • Do not use someone else's account, hand yours over, or send someone else in your place.
  • Do not disclose confidential information you learn about a customer while working.

14. Insurance

Crewla does not currently provide accident, health or liability insurance for workers. [PLACEHOLDER: insurance decision per market — policy, cover and provider if any]

15. Restriction, suspension and closure of accounts

  • Ratings and reliability affect ranking and badges automatically. Decisions to restrict, suspend or close your account, however, are never made by an automated system. The system only opens a review; a Crewla staff member decides.
  • You are told the decision and the reasons for it. You can appeal, and the appeal is reviewed by someone other than the person who decided.
  • In serious safety cases (violence, suspected fraud) a staff member may pause the account until the review is over; this is also explained to you with reasons.

16. Ending the agreement

  • You can delete your account at any time. Before that, future work you accepted must be cancelled and any unpaid earnings completed.
  • Crewla may end this agreement through the process in section 15, or with reasonable notice if it stops operating in a market.
  • Earnings for work completed before the end are paid. Records kept for legal retention periods are covered by the Privacy Policy.

17. Changes

When this agreement changes, a new version is published; the old one is never edited. We announce significant changes in the app before they take effect and ask for your consent again where needed. If you do not accept, you cannot take new work, but work already taken is completed on the old terms.

18. Governing law and disputes

[PLACEHOLDER: governing law and competent courts / arbitration — per market; Turkish law is expected for Turkey]

19. Contact

Send your questions through the support section of the app or to [PLACEHOLDER: support email address]. How your personal data is processed is explained in the Privacy Notice and the Privacy Policy.
